Deconstruction of the problem of drug use through public discourse has been analyzed in the paper by means of logical-epistemological framework of sociological approach, which refers to studying this phenomenon in its totality. Elements of deconstruction of the problem as a general theoretical-methodological approach are, as follows: conceptual definitions and distinctions, analytical decomposition of the phenomenon and detailed consideration of its relevant dimensions, such as ethno-cultural background, social-historical embeddedness, economic and political framework, legislative and normative system, health, importance of social protection and upbringing and education. Deconstruction of the problem, as general framework of the approach, enables overall consideration of the specificity of the discourse and, by that, characteristics of ideological directions, as well as particular interests embodied in them
