The purpose of this study is to deal with the problem of establishing specific child-environment relations. The goal of this paper is to indicate the relation children's developing needs and features such space has to have. The paper gives recommendations for revitalization of environmental values of this area as particularly important in the development of children. Through definition and reconsideration of spatial and functional structure of the space for stay in the context of the impact on the psychological needs of children, it proposes measures for redefinition of the existing concept of the space for stay in order to investigate its improvement
