In this paper we introduce the notion of s-polaroid and compare it with the related notions of right polaroid and ɑ-polaroid. We establish for a bounded linear operator defined on a Banach space several sufficient and necessary conditions for which properties (b), (ɑb), (ɡb), and (ɡɑb) hold.
