Environmental factor (location) influenced sugar beet root yield, which was higher by 20.6% on Belgrade location than on Pančevo location. However, when compared the genotype effect, smaller environmental influence was found for root yield, which was not expected. The investigated factors (variety and location) equally contributed to the variation in root sugar content. Significantly higher varietal influence was observed for granulated sugar yield, which was also unexpected.
