T his paper constitutes the initial experiments with the WebQEM1 method applied to the Internet banking applications of three renowned Romanian banks, for the purpose of the comparative evaluation of their quality. The first part comprises a statement of purpose and objectives, after which we succinctly highlight some reference points in the context of the research. The WebQEM method is then adapted to our purpose. We continue by presenting the application phases, and the procedures and algorithms used within this method. The following sections describe the experiment in detail: the conditions, the experimentation methodology and the results, as well as the findings and the conclusions. The work method presented in this paper is currently perfected for use in a much larger and more complex study, dedicated to the Internet banking applications of a target number of 26 Romanian banks; the study will be published by Lambert Academic Publishing.
