CÁLCULO DO ÍNDICE DE VANTAGEM COMPARATIVA REVELADA PARA A EXPORTAÇÃO DA SOJA EM GRÃOS DO ESTADO DA BAHIA DE 2004 A 2014

This article aims to calculate the Revealed Comparative Advantage Index IVCR, Balassa, for the soya bean complex in Bahia state, between the years 2004-2014, considering soy exports in grains. Therefore, available data are used in the MDIC and Uncomtrade. Initially, it made an overview of the agribusiness agriculture in the State of Bahia and soon after it is shown the position that soya occupies in foreign trade both in Brazil and other exporters and grain importing countries. Subsequently, the IVCR is calculated based on the comparison of soya bean exports in Bahia grain to major world exporters of soya beans (USA, Brazil and Argentina) and the main soya bean importing countries of grains Bahia (China, Japan and Spain). Finally, we conclude that, in general, the export of soya beans in the Bahia has comparative advantages.
