In the last decades, initial teacher training has seen changes in its structure and organization, as well as the underlying assumptions. In this sense, this study seeks to analyze the perceptions of the trainees about model that qualifies for Pre-school Education and 1st Cycle of Basic Education. The study follows a methodological line of quantitative nature, using the questionnaire for data collection and processed with the tool R. Data analysis was performed in an interpretive way using the conceptual framework to understand the student’s conception. The data refer to the adequacy of the training model, to the opportunities of this kind of programs, the necessary articulation between theory and practice, the importance of action-research to understand deeply the professional reality.
