Pemimpin Menurut Pandangan Hamka: Satu Tinjauan dalam Tafsir al-Azhar

HAMKA as one of renowned ulama in Nusantara talks widely about leadership in his writings. The topic is also touched in Tafsir Al-Azhar which is one of his masterpiece. This article will discuss about the terms used by HAMKA in describing leader and leadership to realize the meaning of words like khalifah, imam and wali. Furthermore, HAMKA ideas and thoughts on factors such as bloodline, physical strength and knowledge for a person to be a leader are discussed in this work. HAMKA also talks about the fundamental of leadership which are The Almighty God, Allah, prophet and worshipers. In achieving the blessing from Allah SWT, duties and responsibilities of leaders, criticisms and advices to the leaders and the personal relationship between the leader and the government had also been discussed by HAMKA.
