Nowadays, society and government are requiring Higher Education Institutions to adopt a position of social responsibility which must be focused on knowledge generation, personal and professional development. This can be achieved through projects that will improve life-quality not only of the individual but also general public, not exclusively for students or employees. Due to this context, it is necessary to stablish strategies, like science shops or fairs that support this need. These are alternatives that universities can undertake to bring together science and community for finding solutions on daily challenges.
