Este artigo trata do Programa Ensino Medio Inovador (ProEMI) em seu alinhamento com as orientacoes do Banco Mundial. Nossa investigacao fundamentou-se na analise dos documentos orientadores do ProEMI (2009 a 2014) e do documento do Banco Mundial intitulado Estrategias para a Educacao 2010–2020 . A partir deste estudo chegamos a duas conclusoes: a) O ProEMI insere-se no contexto das politicas do Banco Mundial e contribui para a formacao de um trabalhador de novo tipo; b) a Reforma do Ensino Medio (Lei no 13.415/2017) e a continuacao de praticas que ja vinham sendo implementadas via adesao de programas como o ProEMI. Palavras-chave : Ensino medio; Banco Mundial; Trabalho e Educacao. THE PROGRAMA ENSINO MEDIO INOVADOR (PROEMI) IN THE CONTEXT OF THE WORLD BANK (WB) POLICIES: training of new type of workers? Abstract This article is about the alignment of the Programa Ensino Medio Inovador (ProEMI) with the guidelines of the World Bank. Our investigation was based on analysis of the guidance documents of ProEMI (2009 to 2014) and the World Bank document entitled strategies for Education 2010-2020. from this study we reached two conclusions: a) The ProEMI context of the policies of the World Bank contributes to formation of a new type of worker; b) the reform of high school (Law no 13.415/2017) is a continuation of practices already being implemented via accession programmes such as ProEMI.
