Objective: to identify the estimation of quality and development of general competences in training, from the graduates of thirteen undergraduate programs and postgraduate of Caldas University perspective. The under examination population was established by 1419 graduates from some undergraduate and postgraduate programs of Caldas University during 2010-2014, who completed a survey sent to their electronic mail. Findings: 50% of surveyed graduates obtained a job related to their degree before the first year of graduation or they were already working in the area related to, when they graduate.
