Objective: contribute to the construction of knowledge that enable education for work and human development institutions to understand the importance of improvement processes joined to the development of their institutional educational project. Methodology: qualitative descriptive research, which allows addressing pertinently the management processes, limitations and relevance of institutions in the light of different references. Findings: the continuous improvement processes are relevant in educational institutions as they foster the culture of quality and autonomy. Conclusions: the reflection allows postulating the management and improvement as a possible course for the quality of education for work and human development from a perspective of educational innovation.
