This article intends to understand the university dropout/continuity dilemma. This paper proposes a reflection from this issue. It is based on the hypothesis that the university dropout/continuity decision usually means a concomitant process in time. It means it has been influenced since the preliminary education –at home, elementary school, and high school- and it is not a situation developed at a certain point of the student history. Therefore, an analysis is carried out from different viewpoints that will allow identifying the convergence of factors from educational processes before the university dropout or continuity decision. These reasons create the need to look at the phenomenon from various angles. Such phenomenon is identified through a reflective and multidisciplinary process.
