Objective: to examine the opinion of teachers about the inclusion process of students with special educational needs in the State of Quindio, as well as the training needs to meet this population. Methodology: mixed methodology; we used an open interview that enquires different aspects of inclusion; in addition, the questionnaire of evaluation of the teaching training for inclusion. Findings: the analysis of discourse indicates that teachers have a high positive sensitivity towards the topic of inclusion, and they are aware of their lack of training, obtaining at the same time low scores in some indicators of the questionnaire as Educational Policies and Resources & Supports. Conclusion: it is necessary to train teachers to achieve a real inclusion process.
