Incidencias de la interrupción de la formación universitaria en la Institución Universitaria Antonio José Camacho de Cali, Colombia

Objective: to identify some incidents when a subject decides to face life after dropping out of an education institution. Methodology: this work was developed from a perspective of a qualitative research, with an exploratory and phenomenological design. The analysis privileged a critical-comprehensive viewpoint. Findings: the phenomenon known as university dropouts responds to a personal decision, not necessarily associated with institutional factors where, not only remains the focus of attention, but also it responds to dynamics of search and subjective construction. Conclusions: it highlights the ability to make decisions, to take part in the dynamics of social mobility and to construct himself subjectively from his own expectations.
