EnglishThe article aims to present identified imaginaries about the university, the permanencies of the discourses of young people who study in institutions of basic education and media, and its imbricated relation with the social imaginaries; perspective from which a critical analysis of the approaches to this respect is made, as long as they are assumed from the superficialities of the second or underlying imaginaries, a reason that hinders their understanding and possibility of projection. We propose an exit that considers understanding the imaginaries that make the university possible, looking for those institutions that validate imaginary instituted by the social, from which agreements are built on university. The study population consists of 10 deaf eleven students, eleven aged, aged between 16 and 19 years. Results: students have been building in their life history, meanings about the university, become of the many influences and with great strength officially instituted. Conclusion: the social construction of a university is defined for young people with a hearing limitation through symbolic scenarios, instituted from the social, but with low action criteria, being an illusion in their project of life, an expression in which they manage to define the forms To act in a society that still does not include them in the university field.
