Historia y medio ambiente de Yucatán en el siglo XVI

En la historia de los recursos naturales se plantean problemas trascendentales como el deterioro ambiental y la utilidad de rastrear su pasado, asi como de unidades productivas y las formas de apropiacion del paisaje. En este trabajo, Yucatan es analizado a partir de fuentes documentales de los primeros cronistas que dieron cuenta de la flora y fauna de la region durante el primer siglo de contacto entre la cultura hispana y la maya. Abstract The history of natural resources has transcendental problems such as environmental degradation and usefulness of trace their past as well as production units and the forms of appropriation of the landscape arises. In this paper, Yucatan is analyzed from documentary sources of the first chroniclers who realized the flora and fauna of the region during the first century of contact between the Hispanic and Mayan culture.
