Brain tumors and neurological surgeries can lead to seizures. In the non-convulsive epileptic status the electroencephalographic abnormalities are associated with minimum or no motor manifestations. It is responsible for approximately 20% of all epileptic status and currently it has been increasingly recognized in comatose patients. In this review the authors emphasize for early diagnosis and treatment of this often overlooked entity.
