Optic nerve glioma associated to adult Recklinghausen's disease – Report of a case Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is a neurocutaneous syndrome where lesions of skin, bone and nervous system are associated with, promoting several abnormalities, many times with rich radiological alterations. The authors report a case of an adult patient with an optic nerve glioma associated to Recklinghausen’s disease: the main symptoms were reduction of visual acuity, followed by progressive exophtalmus, keratoconjuntival redness and corneal keratitis at the same side, besides other neurocutaneous signs of NF. The radiological alterations and a summary of published cases in the literature are reviewed.
