The authors have completed a research into the influence of the longitudinal compression force produced by the own weight onto bending vibrations of a building. The authors have analyzed the cantilever that has a rectangular box-like section, if weight and rigidity are uniformly distributed alongside the altitude, and the bottom edge of the cantilever is rigidly fixed. The equations are solved using the method of direct solutions to differential equations involving partial derivatives.
