We have investigated the convergences of the methodologies of labor trajectories and the subjective scales, determining their reaches and complementarities. For that reason, an exploratory practice is made. We have considered relevant to discern what is the determinant in the labor individual trajectories in relation with the prestige scales, to know better this aspect of the society. The labor trajectories are obtained carrying out a longitudinal survey about jobs of each respondent throughout his/her life. The results of prestige were taken from two scales of prestige at the national and international level, applying a structured survey of occupations, whose subjective valuations were established by ‘others’. The results of this article show to us that a prestigious occupation requires an organized and planned labor trajectory, where the family and social scope will influence to reached high prestige.
