Community Integration and Social Rights in Mental Health Area

Community integration is accepted as one of the important purpose of community-based mental health services in the mental health area. To ensure social integration, the only hospital-based services from the application of the new model is not a goal that can be achieved with the transition to community-based services. To be integrated into community of individuals with mental illness, health, education, employment, social security and social aids, there is a need for support in areas such as social assistance. That need only can be transferred by the application with the rights recognized in these areas. At this point, the use of social rights takes place in a central location. In this study, with emphasis on the concept of community integration, social rights granted to individuals with mental illness will be examined in our country in the light of this conceptual framework and using data on the use of these rights, it will try to uncover the effects of community integration. Toplumsal entegrasyon, ruh sagligi alaninda toplum temelli ruh sagligi hizmetlerinin en onemli amaclarindan birisi olarak kabul edilmektedir. Toplumsal entegrasyonun saglanmasi, sadece hastane temelli verilen hizmetlerden yeni modellerin uygulandigi toplum temelli hizmetlere gecis ile ulasilabilecek bir hedef degildir. Ruhsal bozukluga sahip bireylerin topluma entegre olmalari icin saglik, egitim, istihdam, sosyal guvenlik, sosyal yardimlar gibi alanlarda desteklenmelerine ihtiyac duyulmaktadir. Bu ihtiyac, ancak bu alanlarda taninan haklarla uygulamaya aktarilabilir. Bu noktada sosyal haklarin kullanimi merkezi bir konumda yer alir. Bu calismada toplumsal entegrasyon kavrami uzerinde durularak, bu kavramsal cerceve isiginda ulkemizde ruhsal bozuklugu olan bireylere verilen sosyal haklar incelenecek ve bu haklarin kullanimi ile ilgili veriler kullanilarak, sosyal haklarin toplumsal entegrasyona etkileri ortaya cikarilmaya calisilacaktir.
