The purpose of this study was to identify learning attitude, academic achievement, self-directed learning ability in accordance with the learning type of nursing students in order to provide basic data for strengthening learning ability by establishing an effective teaching and learning strategy. The research data were analysed t-test, one-way ANOVA using SPSS 21.0. Specific experience was negatively correlated with reflection and abstract concept, academic attitude and academic achievement and self-directed learning ability,. The attitude of learning was positively correlated with academic achievement and self-directed learning ability. Academic achievement was self-directed learning ability, respectively. Self-directed learning ability explained 13.2%, confidence of academic achievement, learning attitude. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an educational intervention program to use as an index to evaluate various learning abilities according to the type of learning for teaching methods and teaching and learning strategies for nursing college students.
