This group of wells-of-opportunity (WOOs) consists of four reentry candidates located in Southern Louisiana. In addition, some preliminary information, not a part of this package but an addendum, is presented on a Galveston County well which, if dry when drilled in late summer, can be deepened to test a hot interval having unknown permeability. The four Louisiana wells have penetrated a thick section of deep hot and geopressured Miocene or Oligocene sand. Thus the geological risk is essentially eliminated. Each of these wells has been abandoned. they have placed particular emphasis on selecting wells which are reported to have been left in such a mechanical condition that the risk of reentry operations is low. Every effort will be made to further check any well chosen for unreported conditions. Often this can be done by verbal contacts with the operator or drilling contractor
