The GLAST Large Area telescope is a modular 4x4 tower pair conversion telescope with field of view greater than 2 steradians and energy coverage from 20 MeV to 300 GeV. The observatory is scheduled for launch in Septem- ber 2006. A status of the instrument construction is presented here.
