Work has started to determine pressing variables of PBX LX-10, objective being to produce the highest density possible efficiently without major equipment modifications. Temperatures > 2000 F can be produced in an entrapped air bubble when repressing HE parts directly in oil, because of burning of the oil. Temperature over water can exceed 600 F
