Three shots were fired in the study of the low-pressure hydrodynamic behavior of U. Plots of target free-surface velocity vs. time are presented for various target thicknesses and pressures. The free-surface deceleration and second gradual acceleration are discussed. The calculation of rarefaction sound speeds is considered. Results are reported of an experiment using the capacitor technique to observe a reflected shock in U. (D L.C.
