An investigntion was conducted to determine the reactor coolant mixing charactsristics of the inlet plenum chamber. It was found that mixing in the inlet plenum was slight, and flow from a given loop is corfined mainly to its quadrant of the core. There appears to be no significant change in the flow rate through the fuel assemblies monitored with the reactor coolant introduced at various temperatures and the reactor coolant pump on either fast or slow speed.
