A model of electro-weak interaction involving leptons and quarks in SU(3) xU(1) gauge theory is constructed by means of the helicity mixed representation. This model is left-right symmetrical before spontaneous symmetry breaking and anomaly free. As a limiting case, it gives the same results as those of Weinberg-Salam model in the low energy range. The Weinberg angle is bound by sin20w 5 i. A new conserved quantum number SW called the weak strangeness is introduced in this model. The Kobayashi-Maskawa expression of Cabibbo mixing for quarks may be obtained in the model generalized to include three generations of fermions.
