The management courses have increased in number and are sought after by many students. This quantitative expansion brought with it many critics, among them the lack of correspondence between the expansion and quality of education. However, it is understood that many of the problems faced by management education today are due to the way the courses were made. Therefore, the objective of this theoretical essay is to understand the particularities of the current educational scenario in the area of administration in the country, through the historical review of the rise and crisis management education in the U.S. and Brazil. As a result, it is evident problems common to both countries such as the commodification of education. National peculiarities show weaknesses in teaching that compromise administrator training and denote a lack of perspective of this field of vocational training.
