In 12 months of the study, the expense was of R$ 41,881.573.00 with a monthly average per capita of R$ 68.56. The main expenses in this study was due to hospital admissions (40.2%), elective exams (31.2%) and, scheduled appointments 16.7%. The main service utilization rates were: 3.1 consultations / assured individual / year, 7.42 examinations assured individual / year, 2.4 examinations per consultation, 9.92% hospitalizations in the year evaluated. The users of the Brazilian companies conglomerate participant of this study were younger than national average, and the standard of use of services was below the indicators published by the Brazilian Nacional Health Agency [ANS], but above the parameters of Unified Health System [SUS]. The percentage of expenses due to diagnoses is partially justified by low compensation, little time for consultations, in addition to the practice of defensive medicine. These results can help for planning actions to improve indication of exams and, consequently, increasing the efficiency of management of health care provider.
