>e issue of acceptance of people with disabilities is multidimensional and can be analysed in relation to various factors. >e study presents the results of research on the level of acceptance of people with disabilities by respondents who have had previous contacts with such people at school. Contacts between the respondents and people with disabilities in primary, lower secondary and upper secondary schools were analysed separately. >e study involved 313 people, including 156 women (49.84%) and 157 men (50.16%). >e average age of the respondents was 34.7 years. >e study used >e Persons with Disabilities Acceptance Scale by Z. Kazanowski. >e results of the research revealed that the respondents declared the highest level of acceptance with regard to the inclusion of people with disabilities in the institutions of social life, while the readiness to recognise their competences was at the lowest level. >ere were also statistically signi8cant diAerences between people who had had contacts with students with disabilities at school and those who had not had such experience in accepting support given to people with disabilities.
