Human Resources Development is indeed one of the crucial pillars to achieve a sustainable development of any community, which is the gateway for the future. Undoubtedly, education is the appropriate vehicle to approach such goal [1]. Today, the world is experiencing an unprecedented scientific advancement in all aspects of life. This advancement has never been expected nor imagined neither in speed nor in content. Therefore, it is becoming a formidable task to remain competent in any domain including education [2]. Based on these facts, Libyan International Medical University (LIMU) has been launched in 2007 to foster a modern education policy which encompasses the following strategic aims: Choosing quality over quantity. Student Centred Education. Improving investigative and creative skills. Continuous professional development. Adhering to professional ethics and principles. Self-regulated active learning. Life – long learning. Improved knowledge management skills. Recently, LIMU has effectively implemented the international process management guidelines in all its endeavors, a matter that finally led LIMU to be ranked the top of Libyan universities [3], and one of the top ranked private universities in Africa [4]. Following this successful path, LIMU has lately affirmed its commitment to community-oriented research and publication. One expression of this commitment is the publication of a dedicated medical journal, the Libyan International Medical University Journal (LIMUJ) with the rationale to promote the University and enhance its brand image in society and to achieve the following objectives: Engender the principle of professional competitiveness in the area of research and publication. Encourage national scientific research publication. Encourage publication in the Arabic Language (summaries of published research). Encourage interns and postgraduate students to conduct and publish research prior to graduation in a special section titled "Young Libyan Scientist". Hereby, I pay attribute and gratitude to the LIMUJ team, LIMU staff and other cooperating partners. We all deserve to be a part of the future .
