Isabela Figueiredo worked as a journalist for Diario de Noticias between 1989 and 1994, and she has been a high-school Portuguese teacher since 1990. She is the author of Conto e como quem diz (Europress, 1988) and Caderno de Memorias Coloniais (Angelus Novus, 2009).
