The Trekker Breeze (TB) is a Global Positioning System (GPS) device developed by Humanware (Humanware, 2011; Riessen, Ryan, & Battista, 2009). The system uses GPS and digital maps to inform its user of particular locations via audible output. Specifi cally, the Trekker Breeze informs the user of a current location (street names, intersections, business names), provides points of interest, record travel routes, and can be operated using one hand. Trekker Breeze version 2.0 was released in October 2010 and included a number of enhancements and improvements from the 1.0 version.
