: A General Engine Products 6.5LT engine operating on either JP-8 fuel, or a JP-8/ATJ blend, appeared to operate satisfactorily for the ambient operating conditions, with similar peak torque values and similar engine efficiency across the speed and load range evaluated. At the desert operating conditions there were greater detrimental impacts on full load torque and engine efficiency with the JP-8/ATJ fuel blend than with the JP-8 fuel itself. The deviation in indicated torque between the test fuels was 3-percent, regardless of test temperature.
