Abbreviations or the so-called lexical truncated forms are quite prolific in languages for specific purposes, both in oral and written discourses. However, these units have not been systematically included in the terminological works of each field of specialty. This can seriously hinder understanding among international experts. Moreover, the equivalent Spanish term for each of them is provided.
