Ventricular late potentials (VLPs) detected by signal-averaged electrocardiogram are considered as an indicator of electrical instability in diseased myocardium. Little information exists about the VLPs and their effects on clinical prognosis in patients with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (OHCM) undergoing septal myectomy.
