Various media have recently reported the contributions of robots, and there is much anticipation for robots that have a larger impact on society to appear. For this purpose, it is necessary to review the technology of robotics or mechatronics in the terms of “performance” that stretches the evaluation in the past of high speed, high precision, high output, small size, safety, etc. and rise above it with flexible ideas. This paper uses the key word hyper performance to describe my opinion of the directivity of future robot development.
