Wheelchair users have been hindered from participating in society by obstacles such as indoor and outdoor steps and staircases, leading to the development of many stair lifts. We developed a ""crawl"" lift whose disk rotation was converted to linear motion using a drive guide. To confirm feasibility, we fabricated a prototype. The design methodology for the drive guide is presented here.
