In this article we consider the increase of the resource of wheelsets of cars and locomotives. We give general data on present research in the field of tribotechnical systems, and offer alternative variants of development of domestic tribotechnical systems for railway transportation, which can be useful to replace foreign systems. The systems capable of increasing the reliability of a railway branch are described.
