The research aims to improve the quality of learning outcomes for the skills to play a musical instrument recorder in class VII-1 at SMP Negeri 14 Malang City, through the application of modeling methods. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative-descriptive approach. The research subjects were 34 students. The implementation of the CAR is carried out in two cycles with four stages, namely: planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The results showed that in Cycle I, there were 20 students who completed above the KKM, with a percentage of 58.82%. In Cycle II, 32 students completed the KKM, with a percentage of 94.11%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of modeling methods can improve student learning outcomes up to 94.11%.
