The article discusses the application of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) in the process of product development and analyzes the use of QFD in home appliance sector organization, located in the State of Santa Catarina and applies for over ten years in the development QFD new products. It is empirical, exploratory, in the form of case study, whose research involved in-depth interviews and analysis of internal documents. The results showed that application of QFD is not completely consolidated, due to challenges/difficulties identified but has generated benefits for the organization.
