This paper seeks to respond the following research question: can an interdisciplinary approach collaborate in the improvement of the formation of public managers? To answer this question in a partial and provisional way, it was made use of the qualitative method and a bibliographical and documentary analysis, aiming at the level of use of the interdisciplinary approach in the Pedagogical Projects of the undergraduation degrees in Public Administration and Public Management in Brazil. With the analysis used, it was possible to understand that the level of use of the interdisciplinary approach, in the Pedagogical Projects of the courses studied, can be considered as average and that there is a correspondence between interdisciplinarity and performance.
