The study aims to determine the effect of butyric acid on weight gain in broilers. This study used 60 broiler chickens aged 1 day and were divided into three treatment groups, namely group A the treatment group without butyric acid (control) in the feed, B the group with combination of butyric acid in 0,5 kg/ton of feed, and C group with combination of butyric acid in 1 kg/ton of feed. The variable of this study was the weight of broilers. In Duncan Multiple Test, the result of broiler weight gain was different between control and group that was given treatment with dosage of butyric acid 0,5 kg/ton of feed and 1 kg/ton of feed. The results showed that the administration of butyric acid combinations in the diet had a very significant effect (P <0.01) to increase weight of broiler.
