Talking about childhood in the context of a Pedagogical Forum on Children and Teaching involves understanding what the concepts of childhood and adolescense mean and reviewing the global context where they move, particularly now, when technologies are the protagonists. This process results in the conflict of the old ways of conceiving both childhood and adolescence from their limited participation in society, where they are not treated as legitimate actors of social life, as they do not acquire status at school or in their family. However, technology grants them that place for recognition: in the interaction with the equipment and technological tools, children and adolescents gain a place of privileged participation.
