This article has the objective to discuss one of the most important colonial documents about the life inthe country of the small villages under the Jesuit government. The regulation of the Small Villages is also knownlike Visit (1658-1660) and it was idealized by father Antonio Vieira to the Amazonic region, the Visit is still alittle discussed in the scope of the colonial history. Dealing with a internal and regulator of the missionary actionwith the Indians and settler document, this source constitutes the register more close of the catholic experience inmy opinion, even though in the least case, this shoulder in its disciplinant body a utopic sense, the characteristicmark of the Jesuits in Brazil.
