The aim of this work was to evaluate chlorophyll-a production by Aphanothece microscopica Nageli from dairy processing wastewater in the context of a bio-refinery. The experiments were conducted in bioreactors through heterotrophic culture, in conditions of 7.60 pH, 20oC temperature, and 1 VVM continuous aeration. Variables initial inoculum (100, 200 and 300 mg L-1), C/N ratio (20, 40 e 60) and N/P ratio (5, 10 e 15) were evaluated through a 23 experimental design. The results demonstrated the effect of the variables in study on chlorophyll-a production, as well as the possibility of producing up to 4746.50 µgclorofila-a L-1 d-1. This productivity was supported by the conversion of the pollutants present in the wastewater, where the conversion of 96.90% of organic matter, 73.50% of total nitrogen and 89.80% of total phosphorus was evidenced.
