New words are added to dictionaries because they cease being neologisms, sometimes long time before that. The trivialization (terms from specialized fi elds becoming part of the everyday language), the exchange of terms between various domains, semantic neology and the existence of homonymous creations, multiple creations and renominations turn into problems which are often diffi cult to solve for the lexicographers.
