Speech therapy care is primarily the diagnosis and therapy of speech disorders. Properly functioning speech therapy care allows you to meet the needs of people of different ages and with different types of speech disorders. The article gives the results of own research on the assessment of the availability and quality of speech therapy care. The test group were parents of children between the age of infancy till adolescence period who have participated in the speech therapy. The questionnaire survey was used to conduct the research. The survey was voluntary and anonymous. The research was conducted on the territory of Lodz and in the surrounding area. After introducing the assessment of the therapy care made by the parents, the author formulates the conclusions of the conducted studies pointing to the operation areas of the speech therapy services in which corrections should be made.
